Project Leaders, a Breed Apart!

SVBC could not survive without the dedicated help of its project leaders. Becoming a project leader is special. It involves a little more work but it is so rewarding. The duties and responsibilities of a project leader are:

  • Making the arrangements with the Non-Profit Organization
  • Scheduling the event with our board
  • Provide a write up of event for Web Page
  • Passing on all the information to our members
  • Maintaining the sign-up sheet
  • Recruit SVBC members, at meetings, socials and through personal contact
  • Talk about the event at weekly meetings and give updates and end results
  • Giving feedback to the Non Profit Organization
  • Keeping SVBC Coordinators informed about the progress of the event planning
    •  Do we have enough members signed up?
    • Do you need help?
    • Should we car pool?
  • Providing directions to the event for volunteers
  • Most important: verify by phone or personal contact that those who signed up will be at event and that we have enough people to do the job
  • Report problems to SVBC.

You can always ask other project leaders for help and/or advice. You do not need to be personally present at an event to be a project leader but it certainly helps your volunteers.
